I bared all @ 2:28 p.m. on 2005-01-11
killing time on campus in an attempt to save gas by not running home between classes and work. which means i'm bored again. fun fun. i emailed people, i typed some poems, and i sat listlessly staring at the screen for a good two minutes. what now? nothing. i think i'll go read or something. "whatever i want, god!" ------------------------------------------- Poems for January 11, 2005 1 Tuesday was soggy Rain-soaked sod squelched beneath my feet, Cars splashed through puddles, swam through streets I carried too much— A backpack, purse, guitar case— But no umbrella. The rain-laden day squelched in the puddles in my shoes. 2 At a crowded corner table in the hall of the lecture hall we sit where seats are a premium at lunch time. Three gal pals forged by the pen we are informal editors to each other and very much friends, gathering here twice a week to eat and lend an ear, other days we lend an eye since email is so easy. I was telling them about my dilemma, about having to choose between one man or the other when Liesa saw my notebook. “Spongebob!” Indeed, he is the better choice. 3 Watching them come and go I wonder who they are, I want to know who’s in my next class Will there be new friends? Or is it destined to be just another part of my daily routine, another nail to hang boredom by?
